The Booker T. Washington High School Distinguished Hall of Fame Foundation Scholarship Application
Purpose: The Booker T. Washington High School Distinguished Hall of Fame Foundation awards scholarships to college-bound high school seniors based on demonstrated academic achievement, including: grades, rank in class, standardized test scores, financial need, community/extracurricular involvement, leadership, citizenship, awards & recognition, and personal attributes.
Scholarship Guidelines: Recipients will be awarded a one-time scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to be distributed prior to the first semester of college. Scholarships will be disbursed directly to the student only after proof of enrollment and a class schedule have been received. Recipients must use the award beginning fall or spring semester after high school graduation. If recipient is unwilling or unable to utilize the scholarship by this time, it will be awarded to an alternate recipient or reincorporated into the scholarship account for future disbursements.
Requirements: Only current Booker T. Washington High School seniors with plans to enroll in an undergraduate program may apply. Applicants must have a 3.5 GPA or higher based on a 4.0 scale. To be considered, ALL of the following must be submitted: a completed Scholarship Application form with attachments as described below, official transcript of grades and test scores, and three letters of recommendation (counselor/administrator, teacher, and community).
Submission Deadline: Completed applications must be postmarked or submitted in person by 4:00 pm, April 1st, 2022 to Mr. Ioder Fisher, Booker T. Washington High School, 1514 East Zion Street, Tulsa, OK 74106. Late applications will NOT be accepted.
